Open Access Statement
The International Journal of Data Science (IJoDS) is firmly committed to the principle of open access for scholarly research. We believe that unrestricted access to research and knowledge is essential for the global advancement of data science, fostering innovation, and promoting public benefit. Our open access policy ensures that all published content is freely and universally available, supporting a wider and more equitable dissemination of scientific findings. This commitment aligns with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.
Definition of Open Access
IJoDS provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. This means:
- All articles published in IJoDS are available online for all users immediately upon publication, without any embargo period.
- Users are free to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author, in accordance with the specified user license.
Licensing
All articles published in the International Journal of Data Science are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license. This license allows users to:

- Adapt: remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.
Under the following terms:
- Attribution: Users must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. They may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses them or their use.
- ShareAlike: If users remix, transform, or build upon the material, they must distribute their contributions under the same license as the original.
The full license terms are available on the Creative Commons website. Each published article clearly indicates the specific license.
Copyright
Authors retain the copyright of their articles published in IJoDS. The authors grant IJoDS a license to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher. Authors also grant any third party the right to use the article freely as long as its integrity is maintained and its original authors, citation details, and publisher are identified, in accordance with the CC BY-SA 4.0 license. There are no limitations for the authors regarding their practice in licensing and/or reusing their published articles.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
To provide open access, IJoDS operates on a model that involves Article Processing Charges (APCs) for accepted articles.
- There are no fees for submitting a manuscript to IJoDS.
- An APC of USD 50 is charged to authors for each article accepted for publication. This fee is payable after the manuscript has been editorially accepted and before publication. Payment is processed via PayPal.
- The APC covers the costs associated with peer review management, journal production (including copyediting, typesetting, and formatting), online hosting and dissemination, indexing, and long-term archiving.
- Information regarding APCs is clearly stated on the journal's website (https://ijods.org/) and made obvious to authors before they submit their manuscripts.
- APC payment or waiver status does not influence editorial decision-making.
