Author Fees

The International Journal of Data Science (IJoDS) is committed to transparent and fair author fee policies. As an open-access journal, IJoDS relies on Article Processing Charges (APCs) to cover the costs of publication, ensuring that our content is freely and permanently accessible to a global audience. All fees or charges that are required for manuscript processing and/or publishing materials in the journal are clearly stated on our website.

Submission Fees
IJoDS does not charge any fees for manuscript submission. Authors are free to submit their work for editorial consideration without incurring any preliminary costs.

Article Processing Charge (APC)
Should a manuscript be accepted for publication after peer review, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 50 will apply. This fee is charged to the author(s) or their institution upon formal acceptance of the manuscript.

The APC covers essential publication services, including:

  • Administration of the peer review process
  • Professional production of articles (typesetting, formatting, and copyediting)
  • Online hosting and permanent archiving of published articles
  • Indexing and abstracting services

Please note that the APC or any waiver status does not influence editorial decision-making in any way. Editorial decisions are based solely on the scholarly merit of the manuscript.

Payment Process

  • Upon acceptance of a manuscript for publication, the corresponding author will receive an official notification, which will include an invoice for the APC and detailed payment instructions.
  • Our preferred method for secure transactions is PayPal. Specific information regarding the PayPal payment process will be provided in the acceptance letter.
  • Payment of the APC is due before the commencement of the production process for the accepted manuscript.

Refund Policy Once the APC has been paid and the production process for the accepted manuscript has commenced, refunds will not be issued if the author(s) subsequently choose to retract or withdraw their manuscript.

Waiver Policy IJoDS aims to ensure that financial constraints do not become a barrier to publishing high-quality research.

  • Currently, IJoDS does not offer automatic waivers for the APC.
  • However, requests for APC waivers or discounts will be considered on a case-by-case basis for authors based in low-income countries who do not have institutional or research funding to cover publication fees.
  • Authors wishing to apply for a waiver should do so before or immediately upon submission of their manuscript by contacting the editorial office. Waiver requests do not influence the editorial review process or outcome.

No Other Charges Apart from the APC for accepted manuscripts, there are no other charges for authors (e.g., no fees for color figures, page charges, or other supplementary charges). If the journal intends to implement any other author charges in the future, the details will be clearly stated and updated on our website.
